Ben Brookes is ACCA qualified and holds a BSC Honours Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Southampton.
He began life at Wellers as a trainee accountant in 2010 and fully qualified in 2014. In that time frame, Ben has worked on a diverse range of clients from Agriculture to scientific research and plenty in between.
He brings his in depth knowledge of running the finance function and delivering tax advice, to each task while ensuring services are tailored to individuals and businesses needs.
Ben particularly enjoys working alongside SME business owners, helping their enterprises thrive by providing a combination of compliance and advisory services.
Examples include improving internal systems to free up owner managers time for running their business, helping organisations claim all available tax reliefs such as R&D tax credits, or bringing knowledge and experience of various sectors to assist with strategic decision making.
