Wellers Accountants have today completed the acquisition of Freedom Accounting, the specialist firm for Contractors in the UK. The new entity is called Wellers Contractors and can be found at www.wellerscontractors.co.uk.
Freedom Accounting have provided specialist financial services to its mainly Australasian client base since 1993 and is well established in the UK Contractor market. The purchase will not be much of a surprise to anyone who knows either of the firms as Wellers have acted for Freedom as a client since 1993 and indeed both companies have shared office space in Victoria for the last 5 years.
Contracting is the fastest growing method of recruitment in the UK with estimates of as many as 240,000 Contractors currently working across all business sectors. It is anticipated that this figure will rise even further as businesses look at economically sensible ways of handling growth, coming out of recession.
